Fellow Bio:

Sebastian Rubio Ruiz graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2019. While in attendance he pursued a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a dual emphasis in Climate Change Policy and Wildlife, Ecosystems, and Habitat Management. Upon graduation, Sebastian became a Project Crew Leader for the California Conservation Corps and supported restoration goals of native species populations at the Los Angeles River Bed Bank along DeForest Park in North Long Beach. His interests include human wellness, natural resource equity, redesigned agricultural systems, as well as technological innovation in green building and transportation. He is most excited about aiding leaders in adapting cities to the increased detriments of climate change through the CivicSpark Fellowship Program.
