Andrew is an aspiring public servant from San Diego. He recently graduated with a bachelors in Public Policy from the University of California Riverside. Prior to becoming a CivicSpark Fellow, Andrew worked with the City of Riverside to secure Transformative Climate Communities grant funding for the Eastside neighborhood, as well as on a variety of transportation issues. The summer before starting CivicSpark Andrew worked with UC Riverside’s Center for Geospatial Sciences and Inland Center for Sustainable Development to advance the feature sets of open source geospatial research tools as well as to help research the impacts of COVID-19. Andrew is excited to serve with the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District in order to deepen his knowledge of sustainability issues relating to air quality and transportation, while building capacity for local governments .
