Region: Greater LA
Project(s): City of Rancho Cucamonga
Leila was born and raised in the Inland Empire and currently resides in Corona, California. Deeply concerned with how the environment is shaped by human interaction, she obtained a B.S. in Sustainability Studies at UC Riverside. In school she served as the administrative assistant for the Gender and Sexuality Studies department, which has contributed to her interest in applying an intersectional lens to develop a more nuanced understanding of issues surrounding sustainability. Leila is thrilled to serve as a CivicSpark fellow and work with the City of Rancho Cucamonga in updating the city’s Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure, policies, and programs.
