Miles was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, which fostered his love of both natural spaces and the diverse community of people that make up California. He recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with double majors in Environmental Earth Science and Political Science, as well as a minor in Spanish. During his fellowship with Lake County Special Districts, Miles hopes to help build resiliency through a GIS-based asset management plan to reduce overflow. When he’s not working, Miles also enjoys cooking, the outdoors, and reading.
