Project(s): Drought Resilience for Small and Disadvantaged Communities
Marlys is a graduate from the University of California Davis with a BS in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. After learning about the complex intersection of environmental and societal issues in an environmental justice seminar, her career focus shifted towards that of public service. As a Northern California native, Marlys is excited to work towards drought resiliency in the communities she grew up visiting. Marlys looks forward to learning more about water policy in the upcoming year and accomplishing her goal to address issues of climate change and its effect on disadvantaged communities. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, hiking, and (under non-pandemic circumstances) attending live concerts with friends.
