Originally from the Inland Empire, Aman graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BS in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Quality and Impact. During his senior year, he was a part of a research lab that was focused on the modification of engineered nanoparticles to adsorb heavy metals from soil and water solutions. Through this experience, his college courses, and his volunteer work, Aman became passionate about climate change and its impact through the lens of environmental justice and public health. As a CivicSpark fellow, Aman hopes to further hone his research skills while learning more about the workings of local government and policy work in order to impact lasting change in his community.
