Project(s): Linking Climate Mitigation and Adaptation to Emergency Management Services
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Miles graduated with an MS in Environmental Studies from Ohio University and is an early career climate adaptation and resilience professional. He possesses a wide array of experience in the climate change space, including work with southwestern native tribal communities on climate adaptation and resilience planning through the USDA-funded Native Waters on Arid Lands project as well as work with cities such as Washington, DC and Mountain View, CA on various climate adaptation, resilience, and action initiatives as an intern with the Cadmus Group. Miles is excited to continue building meaningful skills relevant to stakeholder-oriented climate adaptation and resilience planning, particularly facilitation, engagement, and the application of climate science to community-level priorities and planning processes.
