Marina Deligiannis

Staff Bio

Marina proudly serves as the Deputy Water Resources Director for the Lake County Water Resources Department and Watershed Protection District located in Lakeport, CA. As Deputy Director, Marina is tasked with overseeing the day to day operations of watershed management programs, projects, and outreach throughout her favorite watershed, the Clear Lake Watershed!

Marina graduated in 2017 from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois where she earned her B.A. in Geography and Environmental Sciences with a focus on Water Resources Management. Shortly after graduation, Marina went with the flow and made the move from the Prairie State to the Golden State to serve as a 2017-2018 CivicSpark Water Fellow with the Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District. During her service year, Marina conducted infiltration and inflow studies throughout the community’s collection system and developed mitigation projects aimed to reduce the amount of stormwater entering the collection system. 

In her spare time, Marina enjoys teaching her cat Zia new tricks, playing in the water, and finding new hobbies to attempt (keyword, attempt). Marina also serves as a Board Member at Large for the California Groundwater Resources Association, Sacramento Branch and is an Institute Fellow under CSAC’s Institute for Excellence in County Government Leadership Program.
