Oceana Haaland was born and raised in Encinitas, CA and is a recent graduate from UC Davis. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in political science with a double minor in geology and human rights. She’s a former student athlete and rode for UC Davis’s equestrian team. She is passionate about climate change mitigation and is excited to use her education during her fellowship with CivicSpark. She can’t wait to meet like-minded fellows and to serve her local community.
