Fellow increases policymakers’ understanding of the urban-rural connection and helps develop initiatives to support regional climate adaptation.

This may include:

• Working with regional collaboratives
• Bridging the gap between urban and rural communities on climate change
• Addressing resource issues faced by upstream communities and their downstream counterparts related to air quality, forest health, water resources, and flood resilience
• Compiling Climate Action Plan strategies from small and rural communities
