Angela Kim

Angela’s passion for data empowerment has brought her back to her hometown of Los Angeles to work on localizing and implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the City of Los Angeles. As the SDG Data Associate for the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of International Affairs, Angela is part of the team trying painting a picture of the City of L.A. using numbers and identifying opportunities for new initiatives and partnerships on the SDGs. Before coming into this role, Angela was a statistics intern at UN Environment in Nairobi and a CivicSpark Climate fellow at the County of Ventura. Angela has a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in Political Science from UCLA and a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Toronto. In her free time Angela volunteers with Hack for LA and likes to share and build crazy ideas for the world with others.

Current fellows can ask Angela about: international city diplomacy, sustainable development goals, data, and statistics.
