Miguel was born and raised in Merced and recently graduated from UC Merced with a BS in Developmental Biology. During the Summer of 2019, Miguel spent 3 months living and working in Yosemite National Park with their Vegetation and Environmental Restoration Branch as a Yosemite Leadership Program Summer Intern. His experience in Yosemite helped ignite a new passion for helping the environment and along with his passion for helping his community and communities all over the Central Valley, he looks forward to helping address the environmental issues that impact underserved communities and carry that knowledge forward to others.
