Joris is a Los Angeles native and recent graduate of UCLA, where he studied Economics and Environmental Systems & Society. Before joining California Climate Action Corps, Joris led research into waste practices at UCLA’s Theater, Film & Television Specialty School and served as a Zero Waste Ambassador for UCLA. He is excited to bring his experience and skillset to the City of Los Angeles, working with businesses and community members to improve on their food rescue efforts. Outside of sustainability, Joris enjoys camping, playing volleyball, surfing, and reading.
