Originally from Baltimore, Jackson graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Biology. He changed paths from medicine after graduating and has since developed a passion for environmental and climate science. Jackson is excited about the opportunity to work as a CivicSpark Fellow to help build climate resiliency in the Lake Tahoe region. With interests in climate mitigation and adaptation, he is looking forward to continuing the work on the Climate Action Plan, and engaging the local community and working with local government to help build capacity to address climate change issues. Jackson’s personal interests include skiing, kayaking, hiking, photography, meditation, and simply enjoying the outdoors.
