Originally from the Inland Empire, Aman graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BS in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Quality and Impact. During his senior year, he was a part of a research lab that was focused on the modification of engineered nanoparticles to adsorb heavy metals from soil and water solutions. He spent his first Civicspark year working with the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority on their Resilient IE Climate Adaptation Toolkit, which focused on intersections of climate and environmental justice. Through this experience and his education, Aman became passionate about climate change and its impact through the lens of environmental justice and public health. After his fellowship, Aman plans to go to graduate school for Urban Planning and continue working on climate change.
