Growing up with the Hawaiian community that centered Aloha Aina, Liz has always sought to advance environmental conservation and Indigenous land rights. When she interned at WE ACT for Environmental Justice and helped increase affordable housing residents’ access to solar panels, Liz became passionate about making the environmental movement equitable and inclusive and working to boost community capacity and investment in EJ communities. Liz is eager to continue advocating for environmental and climate justice by contributing to the California Energy Commission’s equitable market development for zero-emission vehicles.
