I’m a recent graduate from the University of California Santa Cruz with a B.A in Environmental Studies and Concentration in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I have a diverse background in a range of areas from environmental science, academic research in the social and natural sciences, political advocacy, marine and terrestrial conservation work, environmental education, as well as hold a professional SCUBA certification as a Divemaster. I’ve spent the last year working with the City of Santa Cruz Climate Action Program on social equity in sea level rise adaptation and coastal resiliency planning for which I was awarded a Keeley Coastal Scholars award. I’m excited to continue working with City’s Climate Action Program on the Climate and Energy Action Plan through the CivicSpark Program. Eventually, I would like to move back to South Africa to pursue a Masters in Sustainability, and am interested in eventually pursuing a legal degree to work on climate change migration law.
