I’m a CU Boulder ecology graduate who is just ended my year as a staff volunteer at a migrant shelter at the border. I’ve learned that community led initiatives not only build communities from the ground up, but help us obtain global goals such as climate change. My next steps are to pursue environmental public interest law. As a CivicSpark Fellow, I am most excited to learn about what it means to work in my field, how to make connections between the problems and solutions of our world, and explore how I can contribute to community building around environmental justice.
