Evelyn (she/her/hers) is from San Diego, CA, and graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a BA in Public Health. This allowed her to pursue her passions in studying social justice, education, community outreach, sciences, and research. She was drawn to CivicSpark by its pursuit to tackle climate change and community resiliency issues at the local government level. She is excited to be working through the California Office of Emergency Services this year to support the formation of a Children and Youth in disaster Task Force. Evelyn is looking forward to working with diverse groups of people across government and non-profit sectors, strengthening her skills in community organizing and program implementation, as well as contributing to long term community resilience across Butte County.
