Fellow Bio:
Carolyn Yvellez, a San Diego native, graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2018. She has spent the last two years developing the Urban Adaptation Assessment tool for the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative. Her work focuses on building community resilience to climate change, and integrating a concern for social equity into adaptation strategies and investment decisions. Carolyn is excited to join the CivicSpark program to better understand, from a local government perspective, what adaptation tools are useful, what further research and creative solutions still need to be developed and the challenges of implementing those solutions. Carolyn looks forward to contributing to the adaptation chapter in SBCCOG’s sub regional Climate Action Plan.
