Fellow Bio:

Jessica is a Sacramento native, but has lived all over California. This past June, she graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Anthropology and Geography, and a concentration in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. Jessica was drawn to the CivicSpark program because of the opportunities it could provide her with to put her passion for environmental issues into action. She is very excited to help Placer County with the development and implementation of their first Sustainability Plan, and looks forward to meeting and working with like-minded professionals. Jessica aspires to help create more sustainable and resilient communities that are better equipped to deal with climate change, and by the end of her fellowship service, she hopes to have met these goals and gained the necessary skills to further her career in the field of environmental studies.
