Project(s): Paramount and Bellflower – GHG Inventory and Update
I grew up in Taiwan and came to the U.S. since high school. I majored in Earth Science and mainly focus on climate science at UCSD. I recently graduated from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD with a master degree in June 2018. My experience focus on paleoclimate laboratory work and I have developed a high precision extraction method to measure neon isotope from air samples.
Coming with a strong climate science research background and some teaching experience, I believe I can be a bridge between the scientists and the public. It is important not only understand the facts and phenomenon, but also come up with mitigation plans and implements them. This is why CivicSpark internship is a perfect opportunity for me to explore and strengthen my skills. I am sure that I want to have a direct impact on society and the opportunity to work with CivicSpark will be the first step in what I hope will be a very important career focus on finding solutions to combat climate change. I hope to help start making changes in California, and then to other states in the future.
