Originally from Pinole, California, Cody Ericksen attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he majored in Environmental Science and minored in Environmental Engineering. While at UCLA, he was part of a research team studying the proliferation of antibiotic-resistant genes in the environment and the potential exposure to communities. More recently, he interned for Constellation Brands where he helped to create water audits at each of their California wineries as part of a larger water conservation effort. Cody is particularly interested in energy efficiency and renewable energy. Through the Fellowship, Cody looks forward to serving his local community and to gaining the necessary skills to become a more well-rounded sustainability professional.
