Fellow Bio:

As a child, Benjamin Davenport moved frequently across the U.S. which helped encourage a lasting curiosity about urbanity and space. This intensified at Oberlin College into a passion for architectural and urban history and sustainable planning which led to a degree in Environmental Studies and Geology. During fieldwork studying sustainable planning and policy in Scandinavia, Benjamin was inspired to focus on and advocate for improved public spaces and non-motorized transit options back in the US. After a brief stint working for the international non-profit Institute for Transportation and Development Policy in New York City, he decided that serving local governments would allow a better connection and context to the communities he aims to help. Any given Sunday, you might find him aimlessly wandering around the Bay for neighborhood treasures, and he is always quick to recommend a new coffee shop
