Region: Sierra Nevada – Climate
Project(s): Sierra Business Council – Sierra Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program
Originally from Sacramento, Clarke Stevenson graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Human Geography and a Bachelors of Arts in Intellectual History. He earned a job after college as a crew leader for a conservation corps in Oregon and continued on to work for a land trust this past summer. Through his jobs and studies he has developed interests in the rural-urban connection, smart growth issues in the urban center, landscape-scale conservation goals in adaptive systems and supporting the Green 2.0 diversity initiative to foster a diverse generation of new environmental leaders. He is excited to learn about how to make climate adaptation plans more receptive and illustrative of a community as well as learning how to build resilient networks throughout the region.
