Ben Linthicum graduated from Warren Wilson College where he studied environmental policy and sustainable forestry. While in college, he co-founded the college’s successful fossil fuel divestment campaign, served for three years on the Environmental and Social Justice Crew, and focused his undergraduate capstone research on market-based carbon emission reduction policies. Other efforts had him biking across Massachusetts to share information and support opposition to a proposed natural gas pipeline, working in the EPA wetlands enforcement section in NYC, and conducting field research in Wyoming on the impacts of fossil fuel development on horned lizards. Ben came to California from Asheville, North Carolina where he was serving at a land trust, The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, as a stewardship and volunteer coordinator. Originally from Missouri, Ben enjoys running, biking, and picking banjo.
