Ariadna Hernandez is the Operations and Compliance Project Manager for the Local Government Commission’s CivicSpark program. She is responsible for the program’s operational side, including overseeing the Fellow interview process, event logistics, accounting, and ensuring compliance to CaliforniaVolunteers and the Corporation for National and Community Service through policies and procedures.
Prior to joining LGC, Ariadna worked with Sustaining Pacific at the University of the Pacific, assisting with their campus gardens and other projects. She also served as a CivicSpark Fellow herself for the 2014-2015 service year, working in the Sacramento region on two projects; one with the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) and the Sacramento Tree Foundation (STF) on urban forestry and urban heat islands, and another assisting Yolo County in updating their Climate Action Plan. Ariadna received her Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science from the University of the Pacific.
