Ariadna Hernandez is an Operations and Compliance Associate for the Local Government Commission’s CivicSpark Fellowship program. She is responsible for the program’s operation side, including recruitment of Fellows, and compliance to CaliforniaVolunteers and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Prior to joining LGC, Ariadna worked with Sustaining Pacific at the University of the Pacific, assisting with their campus gardens and other projects. She also served as a CivicSpark Fellow herself for the 2014-2015 service year, working in the Sacramento region on two projects; one with the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) and the Sacramento Tree Foundation (STF) on urban forestry and urban heat islands, and another assisting Yolo County in updating their Climate Action Plan. Ariadna received her Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science from the University of the Pacific.
