LGC staff provide overall support for the CivicSpark program, including coordinating events, providing fellows with resources, assisting project partners through the service year, overall program management, and much more.
CivicSpark Regional Coordinators
CivicSpark Regional Coordinators (RCs) support the teams of AmeriCorps members in a given geographic area by supervising them, managing project partner relationships, and proving support to project management and implementation. RCs act as an integral part of the CivicSpark team, supporting the members and coordinating closely with LGC staff in Sacramento to ensure the program is implemented successfully in the region.
- Local Government Commission: A nonprofit with over 30 years of broad expertise in supporting local government policies and projects, the LGC is CivicSpark’s overall program manager, providing statewide program infrastructure and overall fellow and local government support, coordinating training, and ensuring that performance goals are met.
- Governor’s Office of Planning and Research: California’s comprehensive state planning agency is committed to assisting and supporting the planning and development of sustainable communities. OPR will work to ensure that CivicSpark aligns with state goals and project teams are using the cutting-edge tools and resources.
- CaliforniaVolunteers: This State office manages programs and initiatives aimed at increasing the number of Californians engaged in service and volunteering.
- Corporation for National and Community Service: The Corporation for National and Community Service is a federal agency that engages more than 5 million Americans in service through its core programs – Senior Corps, AmeriCorps and the Social Innovation Fund.
