Fellow Bio:

Brian is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan who majored in both environmental law and policy and English. As an undergraduate, he helped to develop an Earth and Environmental Science Outreach program that provided high schoolers from underfunded school districts with the opportunity to study geology and ecology in field locations such as Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. More recently, Brian has shifted his focus towards water. He spent the previous summer aiding Professor Noah Hall with research pertaining to the Flint Water Crisis, and was one of three students selected to enroll in a grant-funded program addressing Great Lakes water issues and their interaction with the public sphere. Brian hopes to bring his knowledge and passion to CivicSpark in an effort to achieve beneficial change in California water issues.
