Ana received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from San Diego State University. She is very passionate about environment conservation topics with specific interest in technology innovation, policy and community outreach and involvement. Her interests in the water world became stronger after her involvement in research with the Department of Environmental Engineering at SDSU and the Scripps Institute of Oceanography in UCSD, in addition to the senior project with Engineers Without Borders that consisted in improving the water pipeline system for a rural community in Honduras. She is a strong advocate for the environment, the sustainable and reliable practices of natural resources and the common rights of all living beings. Most importantly, she is convinced that successful progress is possible through the power of education and community unification and through this, better environmental practices can be achieved. Her future plans are to become a Professional Engineer in the Water Resources Management area and become a strong leader in her community.
